Basic Strategy Card for Ultimate Texas Hold’em
I didn’t find any basic strategy online for ShuffleMaster’s Ultimate Texas Hold’em, so I developed my own. The following table should yield very close to the 2.2% theoretical house edge. I’ve only played the game a few times, but it seems there are a few cases when you need to know if a small pair, or a kicker, or a draw is good enough to bet.
Update: I started playing the game, and I really enjoy it. I find that people play very differently than basic strategy, and these mistakes often costs more than 20% of the ante bet (e.g., 20% of a $5 ante is $1). This is great. I have been waiting a long time for this. Thank you for doing it. A question: Why do you mention some hands in your strategy chart, like pocket 10s and such, under 2x, when I would have already raised them 3x acc’d. to the chart?
That’s just in case you didn’t raise 4x preflop with the hand. I actually see this a lot. People seem to be overly conservative with the preflop raise. So I include all cases like this for completeness. I’m glad this strategy chart helps you. Tell your friends! Link to my pages!
